Very cool defense game, entertained me quite a while. I beat the first and the second stage on hard, but couldn't do anything in the third level, because the road for the enemies was so short and there was no way to let them pass the same turrent twice like in the other stages.
For those of you having problems: chain guns rule! In the beginning, try to build up a solid defense out of rocket turrents and as you proceed in the stage, sell off your rocket turrents and replace them with chain guns. When you already have the nuclear silo, you can destroy the flying enemies with it, so you don't have to build so many aa-guns. But be careful, once or twice in the game there will be two waves of flying enemies in a row and you can only use the atom bomb every third round. In my opinion, the gutling laser is useless, try to build the laboratory asap so you can build nullifiers (you'll only need'em in hard mode though). The gauss canon on the other hand is very helpful, it's like a gutling laser for airborne enemies, but it's a lot stronger then the gutling and thus actually worth the money.
This may help you win hard mode in the first and second stage, if someone has strategic suggestions for the third stage, please go ahead ;-)

Well, what killed the game for me was that the other survivors died with one blow of the armed zombies. I endet up alone or with just one survivor all the time so I needed to repair so much I didn't have time to search houses and the game was finally over.
Since I didn't read many other reviews complaining about this, it seems to be only my suckiness which prevents me from succeeding. Anyways, an easier playmode would be really nice.
I loved the first one but this isn't really fun for me. Because it's really well made, I won't be voting low of course; would't be fair. But I cant really say I enjoyed it.

Ok, first: this is a great series, the prequel to this one is probably my favorite shooting game on Newgrounds and this also a great game.
BUT: it could be better. First a flaw I already noticed in the last game: There are enemies everywhere, every second in the game. So you have to jump all the time and when you jump, you can not hit the enemies. So you are bound to lose health when you want to kill something, no matter how good you are at playing. Kinda sucks, although the backflip is very stylish.
Second, I didn't like the new weapon system. Ok, you wanted to further develope your game and tried something new, but imo it didn't work as well as the last one. You ran outta ammo too fast, had to hectically drop your weapon and didn't have any backup. On the other hand, switching weapons with the mousewheel and using close combat with wheel click was awesome. These features + old weapon system (where you find the weapons one after another, keep them and just have to collect ammo) = absolutely rocking gameplay.
Btw, the close combat sucked. The pipe was just to weak. Once you ran outta ammo, you had to jump around like stupid, click the mouse nonstop and just pray to hit one enemy often enough to kill him and hopefully receive a decent weapon. A stronger close combat weapon (knife or something) would have been far less annoying.
And talk about annoying, sometimes there were just too many enemies...I mean, the levels were beatable, but it wasn't too much fun slaughtering hundreds of guys to get through one stupid door. And the zombie-level annoyed the hell outta me, you couldn't really die but it took forever...
Ok, that was alot of bitching. Of course this is an awesome game, but you've raised the bar immensly with you're previous games so I think it must be allowed to compare this one to them. And it was just not as awesome as I expected it to be...therefore 'only' 9 stars. Still far above the rest ;-)

I fuckin' LOVE that movie. I watched it like a thousand times.
EVERY fuckin' line is...well, awesome. My favorite still is:
Psycho Mantis: "You like meeen..."
Solid: "You can see into my mind?!"
PM: "No."
S: "Fuck!"
Not even the sequel can compete with this movie. It's an alltime classic for everyone who played that game.
Oh, and I love your style. Normally I don't even dig humor consisting of fart jokes and swearing, but those fast-paced scene changes and super quick jokes you don't get till third time watch...it's genious. Somehow.

Ok, this is a cool game which kept me entertained for quite a time. But I couldn't help to wish for a level to be over soon at some points, not because it was too hard but because it got annoying. If you make a sequel, please make the levels shorter! 13 waves of 100 enemies each is insane...takes you forever. I just played through the last stage because I wanted to beat the boss...but I got seriously bored, although it wasn't easy.
Second, there are too few power-ups which really make you stronger (like firepower up, faster firing speed...). So you can have a very powerful gun before you played through half the game and there's nothing interesting to spend your points on any more. Maybe you should make more power-ups like special ammonition for you gun or something and make it very expensive, but also give more commander points for a lvl-up later in the game. So you can't theoretically buy anything in the beginning...
Other then this, it really was a good game. Graphics were really well done and the controls were easy and good to use. I'm looking forward to seeing more from you :-)

This is a really great game, entertained me the whole night (well, on a Thursday night on holyday, what do you have to do...)
The graphics were very nice and clean, I also liked the 3D-effects you used (like the plane flying behind or in front of rocks, buildings etc.)
The difficulty was nicely balanced and the upgrades were accessable enough to keep you motivated.
A tiny little complaint (just to act like being constructive): I think it would have been more fun if the fourth plane had not been so strong to begin with, but therefore upgradable. So you you had an insanely strong weapon but nothing to spend your money on (or to motivate you playing old levels again with the new plane).
By the way, the actionscript was excellent, I didn't experiene a single glitch.
Now the only thing which is REALLY wrong with this game is a score below 4.
I will vote 5 for sure!

Well, the headline basically says it all...I liked you drawing and your style, the humour was ok, too. Sound was sub par, not everything was clear and understandable...subtitles would help if better recording is not an option.
What really pulls this series down is the lack of fluid animation...especially because it's a movie based on action and fighting. Maybe you should use less detail on the characters when the action is going on and therefore do faster and more fluid fbf-animation.
The storyline was kinda funny, just a bit repetitive...DK killing one character after another and the rest of the pack just slaughtering Bowser's underlings en masse...wish you had used more fancy characters like childish, ever-grinning Cap. Falcon or wannabe Casanova Ganondorf...well, maybe next time ;-)
But I really liked how you transfered special moves from the game into the movie.
Overall, quite nice entertainment for a few minutes, but still improvable.
Author's Response:
Thanks! We'd like to use those other characters, but it appears we're being sued (see above) ;-(
So anyways, our next episode, "Ness vs. The Consortium of Concerned Villains for Peace" will have crappy characters no one else wants to use. Also, less animation. But 1000% more Gohma! Oh yeah!
Watch the skies, true believer! Or don't.

That's SO! FUCKIN'! TRUE!
Any of the points Foamy mentioned pisses me of myself, as someone who spends most of his money for CDs.
The greatest point of course is the one with the suckin' bands: Who wonders that today's youth doesn't buy the frisbees anymore, when 90% of the hyped bands are cheap and superficial mass products without soul, which are 'out' after two month of airplay? The leeching and burning is nothing but the massive failure of the music industry to maximize its profit ...
Well, I could't care less, because there are still plenty of independent Labels, who support real music in a fair way.
To the cartoon: I like the Neurotically Your's series very much, so I liked this one aswell. I'm still watining for a version with subtitles though, because Foamy's fast and shrill voice is hard to understand for those who doesn't speak English as native language.
Points in 'Interactivity' are for the cover-artworks in the background, which lead to Collide's homepage. I think I will check this band out, even though I'm not really into the gothic style of music.

I've got a question: is it possible to load a game if you were "game over" in it once? It's at least not possible in my game, but because many people seem to have problems loading, the "game over" doesn't need to be the reason...
Anyway, I think it's a bad idea to put something like "lives" into a game like that at all...If you compare to other games in which you are also collecting things, like "Super Mario 64", well it has lives, but you aren't losing anything if you are "game over"...you can just game on, I think it'd be better if that was the case in this game aswell.
But overall it is a very fine game and it's obvious that you thought pretty much about how to do it...the different ways to finish a level are well done and I think it would really be some fun if...yes, if I was able to load my game after I was game over ;)
